We had a limited number of places available to residents in the Enfield area, in partnership with Enfield Council.

The course will took applicants through the different aspects of youth work, with a view to being hired as a sessional youth worker by The Gifted charity, on a fixed-term contract.

The course covered:

1. • How to become an effective session worker and working young people
   • Professional boundaries, dealing with sensitive issues and safeguarding: disclosures and scenarios
   • Communication skills, IT skills and engaging with young people
   • Unconscious bias training and impromptu creativity
   • Working for a charity, how to maintain engagement and what’s trending?
   • Confidentiality, safeguarding and health & safety
